Little letter to Jet
Chris, Nic, Mark, Cam... I don't know if you have time to read all the messages your fans write.. but I won't give up and I' need to let you know that there's a lot of people in Argentina waiting for you!!
You were my first love. You were the first rock band that made me feel things very deeply so young. (I was eleven years old at the time). You to me were always the beatles the 21 century. I used to listen to the CD Get Born around six times a day and never bored me.
At that time I couldn't speak English but my mother could, so she spent the evening translating the songs of you. Thanks you I decided to study English. Then at age 13 I started taking drum lessons because I admired Chris ...It was funny because I used to put a mirror in front of me to look myself and play the drums putting Chris gestures with a hat and jacket similar to what Chris used to wear.
My parents and friends know your songs because that was all I sang, we love your music... I had dreamed with you a lot of times, even my mom dreamed that you were my friends and we were drinking a beer at home.. poor mommy.
I never had computer in my house until a year ago because I'm not very fond of technology. That's why I don't know how to contact you. The only thing I would like to let you know is that you were the most important band who accompanied me from my childhood until today, and every time I hear you lyrics, chords, lyrics, vocals and melodies, my spirit soars and my mind relaxes and intensely enjoy the. moment. That's one of the most important reasons why I like you to come to Argentina. I guess you're busy and maybe you haven't time to come here, or maybe you're not interested at this moment, but don´t forget there is a lot of people like me, waiting in Argentina for you!!!

That's to all the South American fans: I'll do anything I can to get them here but unfortunately it's not only up to me. What we can do though is take some actions. If you guys work on a big movement (a petition, letters or any other idea you might have) I can make sure it gets to them. What do you say, South Americans, let's get together and work on a project?

There are many similar letters in which people ask you to come to their country/ city and do a gig. Mine will be just one of many. But please, consider this:
I'm just one(of believe you me many many a person) to whom you restored the faith in the future of rock music.
Until I've heard you, I was convinced that rock ceased to exist after 1995. But then I heard you. And I couldn't believe it. So i'm asking you please come an have a concert in Belgrade(it's in Serbia, which is a little country in the Balkan peninsula in Europe)
The world needs rock(and roll for that matter). You represent modern rock. I think the math is clear on that one ;) -

I felt completely and utterly identified to your letter, I thought you were sort of like reading my mind, I never got the chance to write everything I felt about Jet in a letter like that, but yeah, I've been following them since I was 11 years old also, this is so amazing, you were writing my story :)
Misha a mi me paso lo mismo, te juro desde los 11 que les estoy siguiendo, cuando me pongo a pensar en ellos juro que lloro porque tengo tantos recuerdos, ellos tambien fueron mis Beatles, por ellos empece a escuchar musica y conoci a las demas bandas, es increible lo que pueden hacer, no?
