Global Jet Affair
So, there seems to be a ton of people hailing from other countries on this site. So I was wondering if you guys could say which country you come from and what bands do you like that have a style like JET does?

To be honest, I don't know any band who would have a style like Jet. Kasabian is a very good band but I wouldn't put those two bands on the same level. -

For my personal ranking of 'favourites' when it comes to bands, The Hives and JET are always fighting for that number one spot. I just say they are tied at first. Although Kasabian is a great band, and I love their stuff, I like how JET (and The Hives mind you) stay very true to their live performances. It isn't the classic "suck live cause of too much editing in studio"

Me, I'm originally from Wisconsin, but I packed up my bags and went to live in Argentina for half a year. (I go back to Wisconsin in a week) and I've seen Jet twice in Milwaukee. (The Rave/Summerfest). Bands like Jet, hmmm...I can't even answer my own question!hahahaa...but they take their cues from the beatles, The stones, The faces, and the who...so that's pretty cool. you know what? I change my question now. What other bands do you love besides JET?

Some odd combinations one might say but...
The Hives, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Kasabian, Julian Casablancas (his solo stuff isn't too bad if you can handle a bit of pop electronic), Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures, Silversun Pickups, Ok Go (New album coming out!), I have yet to get The Enemy's album, but their stuff sounds really good, along with The Scare (thanks Chris!) and Cage the Elephant
Into some of the 'unknowns" to some... The Temper Trap, The New Cities, The Midway State
So they aren't really 'JET's style' (some pretty far), but thats my top picks out of my handful that I listen to.

JET is my favorite band, (the best band in the world, we all know :D)

I`m from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I think maybe The Kinks or Muse can be compared to jet, but for me they are the best band
