Hi Meli!!! How's it going? Are you in the middle of summer now? We got ~6 inches of snow yesterday. At least the sun is strong and hot today...won't melt all of it, but doing a good job of getting it out of the trees.

I'm still here. :D

Well, today we had 24-30 inches of snow. :P I'd be more excited if I could venture out in it. But it looks like it's a PITA to do such. Saw a neighbor trying to shovel out her driveway. Lost power ~6:30 a.m. and didn't get it back until 2:00....TG for fireplaces....it was getting a bit chilly by 2....but the fire is still going, as is the heat. Hoping we won't lose power again. LOL...cat's still cold and she's sitting on an sweatshirt. Dogs don't even want to go out...in spite of being large, the snow is still too deep for them.

I'm going back to my book, 'Fieldwork'.....takes place in Thailand. Warm dreams for a cold day.

Hey Meli, sorry for the long pause. LOL....I was off work for a month and came back to ....back to back meetings and a huge calendar of social events that needed to be sorted out and nailed down. This week is last of our interviews for the year...get to start over again next January. But life goes on...

So, this is your last year??? Congrats! Hang in there. thoughts on what you want to do as a profession?

Yeah, a friend surprised me and called yesterday from Panama, for my birthday. :) Great talking to her! Need to get down there, but she said same thing - stinkin' hot. I'll have that soon enough. :P

I tend to look at their myspace page for more uptodate information and read the blogs here more than the forum, and some people from here are now my FB friends.
I miss Pogues / 77 / disorientourated, she was fun, a bit OTT and always straight to the point.

I think if you want to travel, diplomatic corps would be a good bet! You seem to have great poise and attractive, which always smooths the way for diplomacy. ;) I don't think ophthalmology takes quite 10 years, ophtometry, yes as you receive a medical degree and would do surgery. But make more money. :) You still have time to figure it out. Certainly a love of language would also help with diplomatic skills.

I think Jet is doing fine. It's hard to maintain the frenzy that Get Born launched and as long as they have the time (and talent) to explore other facets of music...they should. Who knows, they may come up with something better. Life is a learning process, or should be. They may lose some fans who were stuck on Get Born, but as I've said before, that's what cds are for. :) I think they still have the passion when they tour live.

CJ, expecting a full rundown on the LA gig. ;)
