Nic on La Di Da

Here is a quote from Nic I received with my copy of 6 songs from Shaka Rock from the Jet Listening Party Contest.

La Di Da
Nic: I find this song interesting because in my mind, it has a very European element to it. Something in the melody and big chord structure of the chorus and of course the vibraslap/acoustic intro adds an almost Mexican feel. Probably the most 60's sounding song we've ever done.

They must just LOVE fans like me.... and then hate them later when they actually show up to their shows…

I would probably have to agree with this, considering that there's the back up voices (ba ba bap ba ba ba) and yea, it's more 60s Europe. Definately not more like the states, maybe that's why it's not as popular in the states(ok. Lies, I don't really know. Haven't lived in the States for half a year...but I return next month! *student exchange in south america*) It is really interesting to hear a different style from Jet. Refreshing. Not like their old stuff was getting old (I can still move it to 'Rollover D.J.') but Jet is Jet and they can play whatever the hell they want! I hate it when people say 'ah, this new stuff. Jet isn't Jet anymore'. Because the band is still the band, they just took a new direction for a while. An experiment, and if you can't accept that, then screw it! (ok. started ranting a little bit. Can see the foam drizzling out of the side of my mouth..haha) But anyways, yea, just their whole album is pretty innovated. It's definately a big step after 'Shine On'.

~They don't even know what it is to be a fan. Y'know? To truly love some silly little piece of music, or some band, so much that it hurts. ~ (Almost Famous)
