Next stop is Townsville tomorrow, the powerpuff girls city (ha!) and the Townsvillebulletin.com.au had a little interview with the guys:

"The guys from JET were hanging out with Fanning after the Big Day Out this year and the prospect of a joint tour around Australia was mentioned.

"I was standing there and Nic said, 'So are you taking us on tour, Bernie?', And he said, 'Yeah, all right'," JET guitarist Chris Cester said.

"It was that simple. It was a half-joke."

While JET may have had enough of playing the support act (they toured Australia last year opening for Green Day), the opportunity to get in front of their local fans for seven weeks was too good to refuse.

"Our year in Australia, since (our album) Shaka Rock came out, has been busier than I can ever remember. We made a conscious effort to be more dedicated to Australia and spend more time here and do as many tours as possible so when this came up, it fitted us perfectly," Cester said."
