JET has once again been nominated for the 2011 APRA Awards. The cerimony recognizes the best songwriters in Australia and Jet has history in it. In 2005, they won 2 of the 5 nominations they had, including Songwriters of the Year. Jet's first single "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" won Most Performed Australian Work Overseas for 3 years in a row. Last year, Chris Cester had 2 nominations with "She's a Genius".
This year the band's in for 2 categories, Rock Work of the Year and Most Played Australian Work, both ith their latest single "Seventeen" written by Nic Cester, Chris Cester and Cam Muncey.
The 2011 APRA Awards are held on June 21st at Carriageworks in Sydney.
